And Who Is My Neighbor?

"But he willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor?" ~ Luke 10:29 Your neighbor is anyone who you love just as much as you love yourself and who you are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to help and to show genuine kindness to. But can it be said though, that the real reason that many do not rise to this standard of calling, and why many times people will walk pass by on the other side of the road away from the ones who they see have fallen, are injured and hurting, is because they do not yet know and love themselves? This question can easily be answered by saying, "Yes" because one can only give love in proportion to that which they have! Let us first seek after the one who gave the very first gift as an evidence of His love for us and then let us endeavor to do good to all mankind. Kindness will indeed flow from a heart of love, for God Himself is love!
